| This dye kit is used by high school and college science teachers to prepare known solutions of the seven US food dyes that are found in food colors, food products, washable marker pens, etc so their students may conduct the experiment, "Separating and Identifying Food Dyes by Paper Chromatography."
This experiment teaches students the basics of the widely used analytical technique of chromatography.
Each order contains two grams of each of the seven FD&C dyes (B1, B2, R3, R40, Y5, Y6 and G3) in pure crystalline form. The dyes come in handy plastic vials with a snap cap, with enough dye for 1,000 students. (Dyes are for lab use only)
